Kayak Fishing on the Central Coast

Learn to ocean fish from a kayak with renowned biologist, Terry Lilley.

These are some of the fish you'll have the opportunity to catch:
lingcod, rock cod, vermillion, halibut, sea bass,
snapper, Cabezon, thresher shark, and salmon

Terry holds a ling cod caught along the coast of Shell Beach

You'll enjoy a 3-hour instructional kayak fishing session with Terry Lilley.  You will also get to participate in Terry's on-going scientific fish survey! You'll get to sign a log book that goes into a central database, which reveals the movements of the fish populations. You'll learn to fish, have a great time on the water, and add to a important scientific survey! 

Rates:
$130 for one person
$110 per person for two people*
$90 per person  for three people*

Rates include: 
kayak & gear rental, fishing gear rental, bait, photos of the catch, and fresh fillets to take home for dinner!

* To qualify for the discounted rates, two or three people must make their group reservation together in-advance.  Group discounts are not offered on-the-spot.  In the interest of safety and quality instruction, a maximum of three people are permitted to attend a single session.
